 Installation Notes

  • 1. Make sure the air filter is in good condition and replace if necessary.
  • 2. Clean out and inspect the intake hose when replacing this part. Moving the intake hose during replacement can loosen dirt which can then damage the new sensor.

 

What are the symptoms of a mass airflow sensor failure?

  • A bad MAF sensor can cause too much fuel to be left in the combustion chamber, creating untimed detonations. You'll experience this as poor drivability such as hesitations or sudden jerking motions, particularly during acceleration

 

Note:  You may be required to reset the vehicle’s computer after the installation of this part.
