About Nissan Elgrand

The Nissan Elgrand is a luxury people mover that was sold in Australia from 2002 to 2010. It was a popular choice among families and businesses that required a spacious and comfortable vehicle with a high level of features and amenities.

The Elgrand was available in two different versions in Australia: the E50, which was sold from 2002 to 2004, and the E51, which was sold from 2004 to 2010. Both versions were powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produced up to 180 kW of power and 330 Nm of torque, giving it plenty of acceleration and speed.

In terms of features, the Elgrand was well-appointed, with standard features like leather upholstery, automatic climate control, power sliding doors, and a rearview camera. Higher-end models also offered additional features like a DVD entertainment system, a premium Bose sound system, and a sunroof.

The Elgrand was praised for its spacious and comfortable interior, with seating for up to eight passengers and plenty of room for cargo. Its suspension system provided a smooth and comfortable ride, even on rough or uneven roads, and its handling was surprisingly agile for a vehicle of its size.

Despite its many positive attributes, the Elgrand faced stiff competition in the crowded people mover market in Australia. In 2010, Nissan announced that it would discontinue the Elgrand in Australia, citing a shift in market demand towards more fuel-efficient and eco-friendly vehicles.

Overall, the Elgrand remains a popular choice among drivers who prioritize luxury, comfort, and spaciousness in a people mover. Its reputation for reliability and performance make it a great choice for families, businesses, and anyone who values comfort and style on the road.
